SAARC Workshop on Solid Waste Management

This country paper addresses key aspects of solid waste management in Bangladesh such as solid waste generation in urban areas, institutional arrangements, legal frameworks as well as technologies and methods used for waste recycling, treatment and disposal. The paper addresses the problems of solid waste management with a specific focus on recycling and composting. It also provides best practices and recommendations to improve solid waste management in the future.
